Alaska Day 8

So we went back into the Kenai again. Back to hope for a night and decide what to do from there. The skies had cleared. Very rare. Atleast for this time of year. Very very very beautiful. We got up the next morning and headed for Whittier.

Here we go to Whittier. You have to go through a mountain for 1 and a half miles. Very awesome drive.

After that we decided to go back South-West towards a couple of campgrounds we had passed several times but never visited between here and Hope. We found a great place. Only problem, no toilet paper!

Well, that might be why.
And I'm just kidding. We always had our own supplies.

Good night Alaska.

We built a really huge-ass fire. Ironically, this was the coldest and most frigid night we had the whole trip.

We put the tent up, but slept in the car. I had to turn the car on a couple of times during the night to warm us back up. I remember telling Steve while we were both in a cold-freeze that I had to turn the car off because "that is the last of the gas we can spare".
